Nebraska wide receiver Jaylen Lloyd plans to enter the transfer portal.
The sophomore pass-catcher confirmed the decision Monday on social media, two days after Nebraska’s season ended with a victory in the 2024 Pinstripe Bowl.
Lloyd played just three snaps in the matchup, recording one catch to end his season with 13 receptions for 255 yards.
A big-play threat for Nebraska during his two years with the team, Lloyd burst onto the scene in 2023 with three touchdown catches of 50 or more yards, but he never found the end zone during his sophomore season. Lloyd played 20-plus just four times this year and only recorded two multi-reception games.
The Omaha native also competed in the long jump for Nebraska’s track and field team.
Having played the fifth-most snaps of any Husker wideout this fall, Lloyd’s departure further transfers a new-look wide receiver in 2025. Jacory Barney and Janiran Bonner are the top remaining contributors at that position group with impact transfers Dane Key and Nyziah Hunter set to take over.
