Lincoln Public Schools announced this week that Theresa Haack will take over as McPhee Elementary’s interim principal in January.
Haack will fill the interim position after current principal Chris Boden announced she would step down at the end of the year to become the F Street Community Center supervisor.

Haack has been the assistant principal at Arnold Elementary School since 2019. Prior to Arnold, she was the instructional coach at McPhee for two years. Haack started teaching at Lincoln Public Schools in 2008 and taught at Elliott and Sheridan elementary schools.
Boden, who has served as the principal of McPhee since 2018, has worked at various elementary schools within LPS throughout her 32 years in education. Previously, she was the behavior coach at Elliott Elementary before becoming the assistant principal. She also taught at Clinton, Cavett and Prescott elementaries.

A line of people waiting to vote has been normal at the Lancaster County Election Commission Office at 601 N. 46th St., as it was Friday afternoon. The office will be open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to allow voters to cast an early ballot.
