The Lincoln Police Department arrested a 41-year-old Lincoln woman Friday in connection to the August death of her 38-year-old husband, according to a news release.
Amanda Wright was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in the death of Zachary Svoboda.
On Aug. 23, officers were called to a home near North 50th and Greenwood streets, where Svoboda was found dead, police say.Â
An autopsy determined the cause of death to be intoxication from a combination of methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Investigators have identified physical and digital evidence, along with witness statements, that show Svoboda's death was intentional, according to the news release.
Police said they believe Wright devised and carried out a plan to kill Svoboda.
Last month, a narcotics investigation led to the arrest of Wright on suspicion of possession of money violating drug laws, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and possession of a stolen firearm.
A search warrant was performed at her residence in the 3000 block of North 50th Street, where police discovered 96 grams of meth, according to the probable cause affidavit.
Hidden inside a wall of the home was a black Smith & Wesson handgun with two magazines. Police believe this gun was taken from a car in March.
On April 9, John Armstrong, 52, of Lincoln, was shot during a dispute at an apartment in the 1100 block of G Street. Jacob Mulloy, 53, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder and use of a firearm to commit a felony.
On April 7, Greg Little, 32, was shot and killed by a security guard at the Royal Hookah Bar & Lounge at 1619 O St. There have been no arrests in that case.
