The Lincoln Police Department is investigating the death of a 65-year-old woman who was found underneath an SUV with serious injuries last week, according to court documents.
On Oct. 30 at about 7:40 a.m., LPD officers and members of Lincoln Fire and Rescue were sent to a residence near North Ninth and Court streets on reports of a medical emergency, an LPD investigator stated in an affidavit for a search warrant.
Police located Diana King with a portion of her body underneath the SUV. She was discovered by a mother and son who were leaving their home and noticed King under their vehicle.
According to the affidavit, King was found with bruising and contusions all over her body. She was unable to speak.
Emergency crews took King to Bryan West Campus. Staff intubated King and gave her 12 units of blood. Further tests and X-rays showed King sustained a ruptured bladder, broken pelvis, broken femur and a brain bleed.

Medical staff performed surgery on King to stop internal bleeding, according to the affidavit, but she died the next day, Oct. 31.
Investigators said the origins of the injuries are still unknown, but they confirmed the death is suspicious.
LPD spokesperson Erika Thomas said the death has not been ruled a homicide, but police will continue to investigate, as is done with any unknown cause of death that is reported.
An autopsy on King has been requested.
Officers spoke with one of King's relatives, who told investigators she was talking on the phone with King at about 2 a.m. on Oct. 30, police say.Â
During their conversation, King told the relative she wanted her to come over to her residence because she was receiving threats of physical violence from a neighbor.
The relative was aware of multiple issues between King and an unknown neighbor.
Eventually, the relative told King she would call the police to help her, but King asked her not to and hung up.
Investigators searched the area where King was found and were unable to find any witnesses or footage of King to explain how she got her injuries.
