7:57 p.m. NU's defense, riddled with penalties on the drive, stop Illinois' offense and give up just a 26-yard field goal from David Olano. Tied game at 10-10 with 11:37 left in the half.
7:46 p.m. End of the first quarter, Nebraska leads Illinois 10-7. Following an offsides from the Huskers, the Illini will have first-and-10 to start the second quarter.

7:40 p.m. NU makes quick work of the turnover. A big run by Dante Dowdell, an end-around to Neyor and a 6-yard completion to Neyor from Raiola for a touchdown. Huskers lead 10-7 with 32 seconds left in the quarter.
7:37 p.m. Illinois completes a wide-open pass, but John Bullock rips it right out and DeShon Singleton recovers the fumble. Husker ball at the Illinois 37.
7:32 p.m. Lincoln native John Hohl makes a chip-shot 21-yard field goal after an 18-play drive that took 8 minutes. 39 seconds. Illini lead 7-3 with 3:15 left in the period.
Isaiah Neyor was targetd on a corner fade in the end zone and smothered by the defender. A no-call that displeased the crowd and Matt Rhule.
7:26 p.m. Illinois burns its first timeout with 4:05 left in the first quarter. NU driving down the field, gearing up for its 15th play of the series. Huskers have the ball on Illini 5.
7:12 p.m. The Illini move right down the field as Luke Altmyer connects with a wide-open Pat Bryant for a 27-yard touchdown.
It's the first opening-drive TD that the Blackshirts have allowed in the last 11 games and just the second in the last 17 games, including Friday. Illinois leads 7-0 with 11:54 left in the first quarter.
7:08 p.m. Not much going for Nebraska on its first drive. Dylan Raiola connects with Jaylen Lloyd for a 17-yard connection. NU punts three plays later. Illinois takes over at its 22.
7:02 p.m. Illinois wins the coin toss and elects to defer. Nebraska will receive the opening kickoff to start the game. Here we go.
6:15 p.m. Student section is packed — 45 minutes before kickoff. Has a big-game feel to it.
5:06 p.m. Tristan Alvano is "questionable" for tonight's game, leaving the Huskers with a question mark at kicker. If Alvano can't go, it'll likely be Lincoln native Jacob Hohl.
