Play of the game: Kwazi Gilmer's third-quarter touchdown catch. The UCLA wideout ran himself free of his coverage but still had to make a play on the ball, nearly hauling in the catch with just one hand. UCLA was already in control of the game, but the big 48-yard passing touchdown firmly put the game out of reach.

Turning point: UCLA's pick-six to begin the second half. Coming out of the halftime break trailing by six points, Nebraska got the ball with the opportunity to take the lead if it drove down the field for a touchdown. NU got nowhere near that goal, with the first play of its drive ending in seven UCLA points. Freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola's interception and the ensuing touchdown return turned a one-score game into a margin Nebraska had little chance of coming back from.

“That was shocking to see."

Game ball: UCLA quarterback Ethan Garbers. Having struggled with interceptions this season, a turnover-free day was already a major positive for the senior. The way he pushed the ball down the field, completing passes to eight UCLA receivers while throwing for two touchdowns was even better. Garbers provided a steady hand leading the Bruin offense and is a major reason why they left Lincoln with a win.

Game ball: UCLA offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy. The contrast between the two opposing offenses was extreme, with UCLA having a multitude of plays that freed up receivers, put its quarterback in an advantageous position and went for big gains. Having seen the areas in which Ohio State struggled to break down the Huskers last week, Bieniemy crafted an improved game plan which paid off in a big way.

Hat tip: To wide receivers Jacory Barney Jr. and Isaiah Neyor for their big catches. With Nebraska struggling to throw the ball all game long, the catches of over 35 yards hauled in by Barney and Neyor were the standout highlights for the Husker offense.

Questionable: Nebraska's clock management late in the fourth quarter. With time working against the Huskers, a drive that began just shy of midfield took 13 plays and over six minutes to complete. Nebraska ran eight plays from inside the UCLA 10-yard line, running nearly three minutes off the game clock in just that stretch.

Nebraska could've upped the tempo and shown more urgency to preserve time which NU needed on its final possession. Rather than 30 seconds being on the clock when Heinrich Haarberg took NU's final offensive snap, one minute or more remaining could've changed the situation altogether.

Nebraska also had to spend its final timeout earlier in the series when the offense was slow to get out of the huddle ahead of a pivotal fourth down. Holding that timeout also could've helped NU take its time and not need to hurry on that final series.

°Õ´Ç²Ô±ð-²õ±ð³Ù³Ù±ð°ù:ÌýUCLA's long, eight-minute scoring drive on the game's opening possession. Taking the ball first against a loud Memorial Stadium home crowd, the Bruins ran the risk of an early three-and-out putting momentum on Nebraska's side. Instead, the Bruins were calm and composed as they marched down the field, taking time off the game clock and putting a shock into a Nebraska defense which would've expected more from itself.
