Reagan Meyers is going to be pretty good no matter where you put her on a volleyball court.
Superior would prefer to have the 6-foot-2 sophomore in the front row, where, after Friday's state semifinal match against BDS, she has an astounding 811 kills this season.
That's one off the all-class state record set in 2004 by Papillion-La Vista's Kyla Roehrig.Â
Meyers will have the record to herself after Saturday. She hammered 30 kills Friday to lift Superior to a 17-25, 25-17, 25-11, 18-25, 15-8 win over BDS and take her team to Saturday's D-1 state championship match against Exeter-Milligan/Friend.

Superior is in the finals for the first time since winning the school's only volleyball title in 2017.
It was Meyers' work on the service line in the fifth set that kept Superior's season going. After getting her 30th kill to tie the match at five, Meyers rotated to the service line and stayed there for the next nine points as the Wildcats opened up a 14-5 lead.
"I did not expect that," Superior coach Jessica Diehl said of Meyers' serving run. "Of course, you would always want your your strongest hitter, up there as much as possible. But, I mean, Reagan at the serving line is pretty deadly, too. So that was pretty nice."
Meyers had a match-high four ace serves, too, including two in the match-deciding run. Her 34 digs led both teams.
"It means everything to do this with this team. This group of girls is truly something special," Meyer said. "We work so well as a team — like we don't nitpick at each other when we make a mistake, we are there to pick each other up. And I think our defense, today especially, really kept us in some big plays."
Friday marked the 10th time this season Meyers has had 30 or more kills in a match, and the third time she's done it against BDS. She had 38 in a four-set win early in the season and pounded 40 in a five-set win over the Eagles in the D1-7 subdistrict final.
Since the start of subdistricts, Meyers has matches of 25, 40, 30, 36 and 30 kills.
BDS dropped to 29-5, with three of the losses coming to Superior.
"It's just a battle. When (Meyers) is in the front row, we've really got to work hard to side out with them. And then when she's in the back row, we've really got to push points," BDS coach Kari Jo Alfs said. "We did that the first set really well, and for the next two sets, we just couldn't put it together."
BDS outscored Superior 7-2 to end the first set, holding Meyers to four kills. But the sophomore had nine kills each in the second and third sets to pull the Wildcats ahead.Â
After dropping the third set 25-11, Alfs pulled her team into a hallway at Pinnacle Bank Arena to regroup. The Eagles responded by using a 17-1 run to win Set 4 and set up the fifth.
Campbell Bohling had 14 kills and 25 digs for BDS. Kinsley Bohling and Hayley Sliva each had 13 kills.
EMF 3, Southwest 1 Kaydence Haase pounded 27 kills to lift unranked and fifth-seeded EMF past previously undefeated and No. 1-ranked Southwest 26-24, 25-19, 17-25, 25-13 and into the D-1 final.
It will be the first volleyball championship match for the Exeter-Milligan/Friend consolidation, and the Bobcats got there by knocking off one of the two remaining undefeated teams in the state.
Exeter-Milligan won five titles, the last coming in 2017, before adding Friend to the consolidation.
Lily Jeffries had 33 assists and 14 digs for EMF (22-10), which has won seven matches in a row, and 12 of its last 13 since a 10-9 start to the season. Haase added four ace serves and 12 digs.
Kyra Nelms led Southwest (34-1) with 24 kills. Atleigh Nelms had 10 kills and two aces while Aspen Billeter finished with 38 assists.
