Another week is in the books — here's your wraparound look at Week 7, which includes a glance around the city, a look at area teams and a check-in on the state's No. 1 teams.
IN THE CITY
Lincoln Northeast 54, Omaha Buena Vista 6: The Rockets controlled the game from the early going as they move to 4-3 on the season.
Lincoln North Star 13, Grand Island 7: All the action in this one came in the first half. The Gators' points came from two Max Kleppinger touchdowns and Kamden Krieser hauling in a 57-yard TD pass from Tyrell Chatman.
Lincoln Pius X 42, Lincoln Standing Bear 8: The Thunderbolts got off to a fast start as they led 14-0 after the first quarter. Joe Andreasen scored three touchdowns, all being in the first half.
Lincoln Christian 30, Aurora 21:Â The Crusaders scored a rushing touchdown near the end of the third to make it a nine-point game. With around four minutes to go in the fourth, Aurora was on the Crusaders' 6-yard line but turned the ball over on downs. Lincoln Christian held on from there.
Lincoln Lutheran 45, Palmyra 6: Braxton Glines had an impressive game as the quarterback went 8-11 for 211 yards and five touchdowns. Glines also rushed for a touchdown. Koston Maul was Glines' favorite target as he collected three touchdown receptions.Â
Lewiston 40, Parkview Christian 14: The Patriots fell down 14-0 after the first quarter and trailed 34-6 at halftime. Parkview Christian (1-4) hosts Sterling next Friday at 4 p.m.
IN THE AREA
C-2 No. 2 Bishop Neumann 50, at Conestoga 0: Conor Booth had another huge night, amassing over 200 rushing yards to go along with five first-half touchdowns for the Cavaliers.
B No. 3 Seward 20, Blair 13: The Bluejays went up by one possession near the start of the fourth on a Peyton Else 20-yard touchdown.Â
C-1 No. 7 Central City 55, Milford 7:Â The Bison's offense has been clicking on all cylinders this season, and it continued Friday, putting up 28 first-half points and sustaining its offense throughout.
GI Northwest 10, B No. 8 York 7:Â The Vikings were held scoreless by the Dukes until 3:21 left in the game. GI Northwest hauled in a long touchdown pass, stopped York on its next drive and kicked a go-ahead 43-yard field goal to complete the rally.
C-1 No. 1 Wahoo 63, Logan View/S-S 7:Â The top-ranked Warriors cruised through the first half and on. Wahoo scored 42 points in the first 16 minutes and shut the Raiders out until the fourth quarter.
B No. 6 Norris 44, Beatrice 0:Â The Titans had control of this one throughout, scoring 28 first-half points on their way to a shutout win.Â
C-1 No. 2 Ashland-Greenwood 29, Omaha Roncalli 26:Â The Bluejays held off the Crimson Pride, who outscored them 19-8 in the second half. Ashland-Greenwood quarterback Derek Tonjes threw for 207 yards.
B No. 7 Waverly 41, Plattsmouth 0: The Vikings also had control of their game early on their way to a rout. Quarterback Carter McMillian scored the game's opening touchdown.
