In 1961, President Kennedy established the Peace Corps, offering Americans a chance to serve their country by promoting peace and progress. Today, amid global challenges like climate change and educational disparities, the Peace Corps remains vitally important. Through education, health and development programs, Peace Corps volunteers work alongside communities, creating lasting change.
However, the Peace Corps needs our support. Budget cuts have impacted volunteer programs, and the bipartisan Peace Corps Reauthorization Act awaits implementation. We can make a difference! Contact Sens. Pete Ricketts and Deb Fischer and Rep. Mike Flood, urging them to champion the Peace Corps and ensure it has the resources to empower the next generation of volunteers.
