A Lincoln woman was arrested in the early morning hours of Sunday following a fight at a bar in northwest Lincoln.Ìý
Nicole Birkes was at Steve O's Lounge, 110 W Fletcher Ave., when she and a friend began fighting, Sgt. Chris Vollmer said.
Birkes, 35, pulled out a small knife and held it to the back of her 35-year-old male friend, Vollmer said. The man attempted to grab the knife and Birkes responded by headbutting him and breaking his nose, he said.
Lincoln Police Department officers arrived on the scene shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday morning and attempted to apprehend Birkes. She resisted and officers had to deploy a taser on Birkes in order to arrest her, Vollmer said.Ìý
Birkes was lodged in the Lancaster County Jail for terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony and cited for third-degree assault.Ìý
