The Lincoln Police Department said Tuesday that law officers are searching a property in central Nebraska based on new information regarding a Lincoln woman who was reported missing in early July .
LPD said in a news release evidence suggests Jerica Hamre, 31, could have last been in the vicinity of Arapahoe, Holdrege, Overton and Lexington, along with the surrounding rural areas.
LPD investigators, the Nebraska State Patrol and the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, along with several K9 units, began searching a property in Overton, which is 28 miles west of Kearney, on Monday, the release said. The search continued on Tuesday.
An LPD spokesperson told the Journal Star the property is near River Lodge Outfitters, just south of Overton, along the Platte River.Â

Hamre was last seen June 25 at her home near North 35th Street and Huntington Avenue in Lincoln. A family member reported her missing to LPD on July 3.
Investigators view her disappearance as suspicious because she reported an assault that occurred a few days before she was last seen. Police have spoken to those involved in the assault, but there had been no further updates on her whereabouts until Tuesday.
At a Wednesday morning press conference, LPD Spokesperson Erika Thomas said the search conducted at Overton did not uncover any new evidence.Â
LPD did not share the reasoning why law enforcement is searching such a large area in central Nebraska besides the possibility of her being in the area.Â
The search in Overton has concluded, but the areas around Arapahoe, Holdrege, and Lexington will continue to be searched.
Anyone with information that could help investigators is encouraged to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000, or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
