The devices appeared to be homemade and consisted of a circuit board and small wires, and usedÌýBluetooth technology to transmit data, the report says. They weren't visible to customers, the sheriff's office said.
It’s unknown if the people who installed the devices were able to get any credit card information, but in a news release, Sheriff Terry Wagner urged people who bought fuel at the store recently to closely monitor debit or credit card records and contact authorities or their financial services provider if they see suspicious activity.
