The Flying Luttenbachers with Dip Tet, Plack Blague, 9 p.m. Friday, Zoo Bar. Dissonant noise rockers The Flying Luttenbachers came out of Chicago in the early '90s, moved to California in 2003, disbanded, reformed in New York and returned full circle to Chicago during COVID. Their blend of punk, no wave, free jazz and extreme metal will be on display at the Zoo on Friday as part of their tour supporting the July release of "Losing The War Inside Our Heads," their latest record.
Josh Meloy with Kenny Feidler, Trenton Fletcher, 8 p.m. Friday, Bourbon Theatre. Josh Meloy picked up a guitar when he was 19 while attending Oklahoma State University. Inspired by the Red Dirt country scene, Meloy has cultivated an old-school, singer-songwriter approach to country and returns to the Bourbon, where he played around this time last year, for a show Friday.
BigXthaPlug with Ro$ama, Yunghood, 8 p.m. Wednesday, Bourbon Theatre. Dallas'Â Xavier Landum, aka BigXthaPlug, blends Southern rap traditions with modern hip-hop and has ascended the music scene behind hits like "Texas," "Whip It" and "Levels." He boasts more than 15 million monthly listeners on Spotify and will be in Lincoln on Wednesday.

Daisychain, Estrogen Projection, The Zooeys, Morpho, 8 p.m. Wednesday, Duffy's Tavern. Blues/psych rockers Daisychain boast a classic rock 'n' roll sound that the female-fronted Chicago band describes as "moody, soulful, and sultry." They're on a West Coast tour that has some Midwest pit stops, including at Lincoln's Duffy Tavern on Wednesday. They'll be joined by another female-powered band, Lincoln's Estrogen Projection.
