After two wins during the first week of the season, the Nebraska women’s basketball team has moved up to No. 21 in the AP poll for its highest ranking in 10 seasons.
It’s the highest ranking for the Huskers since also being ranked 21st late in the 2014-15 season. The Huskers were ranked 23rd in the preseason poll.
Illinois (23rd) and Oregon (25th) moved into the rankings, giving the Big Ten Conference seven ranked teams.
The top three teams overall are South Carolina, Connecticut and USC.
Nebraska hosts Southern (0-3) at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
Creighton (0-1) dropped out of the poll after a close loss at South Dakota State to open the season.
