The Nebraska track and field team opened its season with four event titles Friday at the Graduate Classic at the Devaney Sports Center.
Berlyn Schutz, a Nebraska sophomore and Lincoln East graduate, won the women's one-mile run in 4 minutes, 38.21 seconds.
Lishanna Ilves, a Husker senior, triumphed in the women's long jump, logging a winning mark of 20 feet, ½ inches.
Nebraska also picked up two wins on the men's side, including freshman Pradeep Senthilkumar, who won the 400-meter run in 48.35 seconds.
Husker sophomore Seth Schnakenberg won the men's weight throw (63-04).
The Graduate Classic action continues Saturday.
