Here's the latest:
The Huskers locked in an official visit this weekend from City College of San Francisco defensive end Jordan Allen.Â
NU offered Allen last week and running backs coach Ryan Held was out again Monday to see him. The 6-foot-5, 240-pounder visited Michigan State last weekend and announced a final five of the Huskers, Spartans, TCU, Arizona State and Colorado.Â
Nebraska has more than a half-dozen prospects already lined up for visits this weekend and that list will likely grow this week.Â
Great talk with today. Looking forward to meeting on my official visit this weekend ! ‼ï¸

It's a bit of tea-leaf reading, but likely of interest to Husker fans: Wisconsin, which has had its 2018 class largely filled for a while, on Monday night offered a scholarship to a three-star defensive tackle in Arkansas.Â
That move comes on the coattails of Lincoln Southeast standout defensive tackle Bryson Williams visiting Madison this weekend and then hosting NU defensive coordinator Erik Chinander and defensive line coach Mike Dawson at his home Sunday evening upon his arrival back from UW.Â
Something to keep a close eye on.Â

Three NU coaches were in Texas on Monday to see four-star safety Cam Jones (see below), but offensive coordinator Troy Walters made a trip to the Lone Star State on Sunday night, too.Â
He visited four-star receiver Tommy Bush, who had an offer from Mike Riley's staff and is now being recruited by the new staff.Â
The timing of Walters' visit — immediately following a weekend of official visitors and the same day that Yoakum, Texas, four-star receiver Joshua Moore decommitted — is probably somewhat dictated by a tight timeline but also shows Bush is a priority. Walters will be in charge of UCF's bowl practices this week as the interim head coach there.Â
Thank you for home visit with us last night really enjoyed it

Tampa receiver/tight end Justin McGriff decommitted from Central Florida on Monday afternoon, one day after he returned from an official visit to Nebraska.Â
In announcing the decision, McGriff said he would still consider the Knights and didn't directly reference NU.Â
Respect my decision and I will Respect your opinion.

It's going to be an interesting week (to say the least) as UCF winds its bowl preparations into full gear and the Husker coaching staff splits time between the final week of pre-dead period recruiting and practices in Orlando.Â
On Monday morning, Frost, running backs coach Ryan Held and defensive coordinator Erik Chinander were in Mansfield, Texas, to see Jones.Â

It didn't take long at all after the visitors left campus for the Husker coaches to get back on the road. Defensive coordinator Erik Chinander and defensive line coach Mike Dawson went to visit Lincoln Southeast standout and Wisconsin verbal commit Bryson Williams, who had just returned from Madison earlier in the day.
Thanks and Coach Dawson for comin by and checking in ðŸ‘ðŸ¾

Meanwhile, offensive line coach Greg Austin got up to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to visit 2018 verbal commit Will Farniok.
Another great visit from the Nebraska staff, thanks Coach Austin! Can't wait to get to Lincoln.

The offers started trickling out again this morning with Virginia linebacker Keshon Artis. Artis is ranked a four-star prospect by 247Sports and a three-star by Rivals. He is currently committed to Virginia Tech, but also had an offer from Central Florida, so the staff is familiar with him.
Blessed to say I’ve received another scholarship offer from The University of Nebraska 🌽🔴⚪ï¸
