Omaha Duchesne overcame a six-stroke deficit after the first round to edge Elkhorn North for the Class B girls golf team championship on Tuesday at Gering's Monument Shadows Golf Course.
Duchesne's Whitney Dahir led the way, shooting a sparkling 75 on Tuesday to win individual honors. After shooting 82 on Monday, Dahir methodically pulled away from the pack. That pack included Norris junior Natalie Shield, who finished third after taking a share of the lead on Day 1. Addison Peck of Scottsbluff finished runner-up.
Duchesne won in 704 strokes, one better than Elkhorn North's 705. Norris was third with 748.
