What went wrong:Â Lincoln was charged with four ejections across 10 innings as Gary SouthShore rallied to tie the game 4-4 in the top of the eighth and capitalized with three runs in the top half of the 10th. Bryan Perez was ejected on his first pitch in relief after plunking Gio Diaz, resulting in three ejections to the Saltdogs in the inning. Despite Wyatt Sparks pitching two innings of relief after Perez's exit, the Saltdogs' pitchers were tagged for 12 hits and issued four walks.
What went right:Â Logan Williams gave the Saltdogs a 5-4 lead with his third home run of the year in the bottom of the sixth after the theatrics subsided through the middle innings. Lincoln opened with a 1-0 lead and rallied to take a 4-2 lead in the fourth behind a 2-RBI single from Jack Dragum.
