The Lincoln Memorial Day Observance Association has planned three Memorial Day programs Monday. They begin at 8:30 a.m. at Wyuka Cemetery & Funeral Home, 3600 O St.; 11:15 a.m. at Lincoln Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St.; and 7:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Garden in Antelope Park, 3140 Sumner St. The public is invited to attend.

9 a.m. – music; greetings & introductions by Brenden Moore, LMDOA co-chair; welcome by Faye Osborn, Wyuka trustee; invocation by Pastor Tom Barber of People’s City Mission; Pledge of Allegiance, John W. Brown, U.S. Navy WWII; National Anthem – Anita Lovell; acknowledgement of veterans – Ed Hoffman, LMDOA representative; guest speaker 1 – Merle Rudebusch, SUVCW; General John A. Logan’s General Order #11 – Mark Nichols, Commander, Shiloh Camp, SUVCW; Decorating of the G.A.R. Circle – Girl Scout Troop Nos. 20040, 20046, 20101 and 20468; guest speaker 2 – Brig. General Richard Dahlman; recognition of memorials and laying of the wreaths, reading & ringing of the bell – Lincoln Fire & Rescue; explanation of releasing of the Doves, Firing Squad; Taps; benediction by Dr. Gary Fuller, senior chaplain, Lincoln Chaplaincy Corps; release of memorial balloons – Boy Scout Troop #456; dismissal – Brenden Moore.
