The Lincoln Music Teaches Association (LMTA) will sponsor a workshop featuring Clark Potter, who will present “Nebraska Chamber Players – 27 Years and Counting,” and the upcoming season at the Thursday, Sept. 12, LMTA Kick-Off event.
Potter will also perform on viola accompanied by Elizabeth Grimpo. The workshop will take place from 9-11 a.m. at the Unitarian Church of Lincoln, 6300 A St. A light brunch will be served.
Potter is professor of viola at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music, where he is also on the conducting faculty. He conducts the Lincoln Youth Symphony and is a member of three chamber ensembles: the Nebraska Chamber Players, the Trans-Nebraska Players and the UNL faculty ensemble, Una Corda. Founded in 1942, LMTA’s mission is to provide high-quality music instruction, continuing education and mutual support among members and their students, and community outreach to promote the arts. Teachers of all disciplines are welcome as well as supporting members.
