The owner of a Grand Island business was arrested after four of his female employees told police he had been touching them inappropriately since July of 2023.
Arrested was Terry Rawlings, the owner of TA Latino Check Cashing at 402 W. Fourth St.
On Friday morning, a Grand Island police officer was at the business on another matter. While at the store, the officer saw Rawlings touch one of the employees inappropriately, Grand Island Police Capt. Dean Elliott said.
The victim told the officer she wanted to press charges and said there were other females employed by the business who had been sexually assaulted by Rawlings in the past.
A total of four women came forward to report multiple incidents that have allegedly taken place over the past couple of years.
The women told police that Rawlings has been “inappropriately touching them on their buttocks and breasts multiple time(s), sometimes every day,†while they were at work, Elliott said.

One of the victims said she was only 11 when she was touched in a sexual manner by Rawlings at the business.
Rawlings, 70, was arrested for two counts of sexual assault of a child, one count of child abuse and four counts of third-degree sexual assault.
Rawlings’ wife, Flora, was arrested on three counts of tampering. The victims said she advised them not to contact police.
Flora Rawlings, 52, made light of the accusations and threatened the women with deportation, Elliott said.
