'General Hospital' Actor Leslie Charleson Dies Aged 79
Leslie Charleson, who played Monica Quartermaine on 'General Hospital,' has died at the age of 79. 'General Hospital' executive producer Frank Valenti announced her death in an Instagram post. The actress died from complications of a long illness, according to a source close to the situation. Charleson made her debut on 'General Hospital' in 1977 and went on to appear in over 2,000 episodes spanning nearly five decades. The actress also starred in 'A Flame in the Wind', 'Love Is a Many Splendored Thing', 'As the World Turns', ’N.Y.P.D.', ’The Rookies', 'Marcus Welby, M. D', 'Port Charles', 'General Hospital: Night Shift', and more. Charleson's last appearance on 'General Hospital' was in the December 2023 episode 'Everything You Ever Wanted.'
