Introduction to Acupuncture — 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, in the dining room at Saint Paul United Methodist Church, 1144 M St. Presented by Lincoln Medical Acupuncture, this ancient form of medicine has provided pain relief, emotional balance and mental wellness for over 2,000 years. LMA will briefly discuss the history and theory behind acupuncture, what it treats and how it may benefit you, and provide a treatment demonstration. Meditative Sound Bath — Noon on third Sundays (next Aug. 18) in the Chapel at Saint Paul United Methodist Church, 1144 M St. Along with guided mantras, Rev. Dr. Jane Florence uses quartz crystal bowls and other instruments to generate sounds that can clear your energy centers (chakras). Sound baths induce deep relaxation, reduce stress and promote healing on physical, emotional and spiritual levels. No registration necessary.
