“The Book of Mormon†broke the Lied Center for Performing Arts house record during its weeklong run last month, bringing in more than 15,000 people and grossing more than $1 million.
The national touring company of the Tony Award-winning musical had $1,054,405 in ticket sales of its eight performances from Dec. 11-16. With a total attendance of 15,000, the performances averaged 1,850 people per show in the 2,200-seat theater.
The national tours of “The Book of Mormon†have now broken 106 house records in 59 venues across North America. At Broadway’s Eugene O’Neill Theatre, “The Book of Mormon†has broken the house record 50 times.
