Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, aka Logic, is, in the words of Rolling Stone “a proudly nerdy biracial kid whose signature stage flourish is solving a Rubik’s Cube while rapping.†He’s also one of the hottest rappers going, touring behind a No. 1 album.
“Everybody,†his 90-minute concept album, hit the top of the Billboard charts in May, while earning notice for “1-800-273-8255,†a song that takes its title from the National Suicide Prevention Hotline he made for fans who might be dealing with suicidal thoughts to know they are not alone.
In fact, Logic has dealt with anxiety and depression, especially while touring after the release of his second album when the 27-year-old eventually ended up hospitalized for mental health issues.

Both of Logic’s previous albums “Under Pressure†and “The Incredible True Story†have gone gold.
He’ll be joined Sunday by Joey Bada$$, fresh off a Lollapalooza performance, and Big Lenbo.
Tickets remain for Sunday’s show, which very likely would have sold out if not for the Kendrick Lamar concert set for Pinnacle Bank Arena on Aug 18. Tickets are $35.50 advance, $45 day of show.

While it doesn’t entirely succeed, it is the most direct, straight ahead record from Green Day in years, with driving music and lyrics that mix the serious and the silly.
Green Day will cover its now 30-year career, dipping into songs from 1994’s “Dookie†onward with an emphasis on material from “American Idiot,†its 2004 political protest album that has been given a new resonance in the Trump era.

What: Coldplay with Alunageorge, Izzy Bizu
Where: Century Link Center, 455 N. 10th St., Omaha
When: 7 p.m. Aug. 14
Coldplay has spent more than 18 months touring in support of 2015’s “A Head Full of Dreams,†a journey that has recently wrapped up in stadiums and returned to arenas, like the CenturyLink Center where it will play Monday.
The British band, led by singer Chris Martin and his falsetto, have become massive stars in the 15 years since 2002’s “Clocks,†becoming big enough to play the Super Bowl in 2016, a performance that generated plenty of jokes after it was seen by more than 115 million people.
Expect a set Monday that covers much of Coldplay’s career and delivers its sincere, safe brand of soft rock.
