BTS’ Jin to release debut solo album next month
BTS star Jin is aiming to drop his debut solo album in November.
Following the release of the full version of his global hit “Super Tuna†last week, his record label has responded to a report that claimed his new record will arrive next month.
Big Hit Music said in a statement: “Jin is currently preparing for a new album with the goal of releasing it in November. The detailed information will be disclosed once it is confirmed.â€
The 31-year-old star is the final member of the K-pop boy band — which also includes RM, Suga, Jung Kook, J-Hope, V and Jimin — to release a solo album.
His 2022 debut solo single, “The Astronaut,†was co-written by Coldplay and was released after BTS teamed up with Chris Martin and company on the 2021 hit “My Universe.â€

Jin — whose real name is Kim-Seok-jin — had been working as an assistant drill instructor at a training facility in South Korea as part of his military conscription, and upon his return, he hugged 1,000 fans at a special homecoming event.
The day after he was discharged from his mandatory army stint in June, Jin treated fans to a performance of the extended version of 2021’s “Super Tuna.â€

Adrien Brody fought back tears on a visit to a London prison as he prepared to play a man wrongly convicted of murder.
The Oscar winner is playing real-life former prisoner Nick Yarris — who spent more than two decades on death row for a crime he did not commit — in the new play “The Fear of 13†at London’s Donmar Warehouse.
He told the Guardian newspaper: “If everybody wasn’t staring at me, I could have just wept because of how soul-robbing it is. You’re surrounded by all these people who have no opportunity and are all needing love and appreciation and have made some dumb mistake in their life and are being punished for that.â€
The actor lived in a room above the play’s rehearsal space when he arrived in London, and he admits it was far removed from the idea of Hollywood glamour.
He explained: “Theater, you’re living in the attic and you’re working in the basement, and you don’t leave and nobody brings you lunch. You go out and you’ll get a sandwich at Tesco, and you munch it down and try to absorb all this material and try to represent so much. And you’re with 10 other people doing the same, and it is quite wonderful.â€
