Six Lincoln-based companies made this year's Inc. 5000 list of the country's fastest-growing companies, one fewer than last year.
Leading the way was law firm Hilgers Graben, which came in at 1,106 with three-year revenue growth of 447 percent. It was the firm's second-straight year making the list.
Hilgers Graben, which is led by state Sen. Mike Hilgers, has offices in Lincoln, Omaha, Denver and Dallas. It just announced an expansion of its Lincoln office that nearly doubled the size of its space in Fallbrook.
Hilgers said the firm now has seven employees in Lincoln and nearly 20 overall. He said being based in Lincoln has been a main reason for the firm's rapid growth because it is able to recruit and retain talented, experienced lawyers while also offering lower fees for its services than firms based in places like Chicago or New York.
