The city of Lincoln is sponsoring two online events for local businesses next week.
An event Wednesday will focus on procurement, and a town hall Thursday will focus on employee well-being, according to a news release from the mayor's office.
City-County Purchasing Director Bob Walla will give a presentation Wednesday from 4-4:45 p.m. about competing for local government contracts.
The presentation will discuss the types of city and county contracts available, the requirements the city and county operate under for purchasing goods and services, how to become a registered vendor in the eBid system and tips for getting business.Â
The event will be aired on LNKTV, at using the keyword LNKTV and on the city's YouTube and Facebook pages.
On Thursday at 4 p.m., the city will host a business-to-business town hall about employee mental health and social connectedness. The town hall will focus on the impacts of COVID-19 on employees and how employers can promote employee well-being.Â

The town hall will feature Gail Sutter, executive director of Continuum EAP; Samantha Dolezal, well-being advocate at Union Bank & Trust; and Angela Garbacz, the chef and owner of Goldenrod Pastries. Attendees will also be able to ask questions and participate.
